Accessibility Standard

Sugar Spell aims to align shopsugarspell.com with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA accessibility principles. WCAG provides a shared reference for making web content more perceivable, operable, understandable, and robust. This target is not a claim that every applicable success criterion has been independently audited or certified as conforming.

Accessibility Features

The current Sugar Spell website includes:

• Semantic page landmarks, one primary page heading, and structured section headings.
• A keyboard-visible Skip to content link and consistent navigation.
• Keyboard-operable links, buttons, menus, gallery filters, and photo viewer controls.
• Visible focus indicators and focus handling for the mobile menu and gallery dialog.
• Meaningful alternative text for product images and hidden treatment for decorative graphics.
• Programmatically labeled form controls, fieldsets, required-field cues, and understandable status or error messages.
• Responsive layouts designed to reflow on mobile screens and when content is enlarged.
• Readable foreground and background color combinations across the primary visual system.
• Reduced animation when a device or browser requests reduced motion.
• Accessible names for icon-only or visually symbolic interactive controls.

Keyboard and Gallery Support

The main and mobile navigation can be used from the keyboard, with Escape available to close the mobile menu. Gallery images open through native buttons. When the photo viewer is open, focus is kept within its Close, Previous, and Next controls; Left and Right Arrow keys change photos; Escape closes the viewer; and focus returns to the gallery image that opened it.

Forms and Assistance

Custom-order and review forms use visible labels, native input types, grouped choices, required-field indicators, validation messages, and live status messages. When the server returns a form error, focus moves to the first invalid field and the related message is associated with that control when available.

Cloudflare Turnstile provides the forms' automated-abuse check. If that third-party security control creates a barrier, contact Sugar Spell by email for another way to share the necessary order or review information.

Known Limitations and Ongoing Review

Accessibility is an ongoing process. Browsers, assistive technologies, third-party services, and website content change over time, so an occasional barrier may remain even after testing. Sugar Spell is not currently aware of a material accessibility blocker on the public website, but the experience will continue to be reviewed and improved.

Third-Party Content

Some linked websites and embedded services—including social-media platforms and the Turnstile security control—are provided by third parties and may be outside Sugar Spell's direct control. Sugar Spell will continue making reasonable efforts to provide an accessible first-party website experience.
